What a Typical Day of Eating Looks Like for Me

I Promise you it is not complicated. I have found that by eating the same things I can stay on track. I am a creature of habit!! usually when I find something I like or a routine that works I stick with it, so I don’t have think much about it!

When I first started on my journey of losing weight, my meals may have looked a bit different but the general idea was the same. If it didn’t taste good, or tasted anything like diet food, I definitely wouldn’t have stuck with it.

So it became about finding things I liked, and making them healthier, swapping out bad for good, to still be able to enjoy foods I loved. I LOVE FOOD!

So, the question is….. How Did I go from a 14 to a size 4???

In the beginning, it was clear to get the results, it couldn’t be just watching what I ate, because I was doing that, and I was eating healthy, and I was maintaining 225lbs.. What was missing was my portions and counting calories, I had no clue what I was eating and never had paid attention, because I thought, NO I don’t have time for that, tooo difficult, tooo complicated. What it was, was me being lazy and not taking responsibility for my own health.

So In January of 2009, along with starting ChaLean Extreme, I made the commitment to start keeping a food diary and counting my calories so I could get results, mainly because Chalene Johnson told me too, haha!! I knew it was what I had to do, I hated how I felt, hated my reflection in the mirror, and most of all wanted to set a better example for my 2 boys and be the healthiest Mom I could be for them, and be around alot longer!! Heck, I also need o be able to keep up with the 2 of them!

I initially set my target daily calories at 1200-1400. (going below 1200 is dangerous, body starves)Yes, low.. But I knew this would kick-start my weight-loss and get me on the path to losing 1-2lbs a week along with my workouts. Which were ChaLean Extreme and Turbo Jam.. 6 day schedule, 6 days of Cardio and 3 days of strenghth training with one REST DAY!!(IMPORTANT) I knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

I purchased a food scale at Walmart for $6, to measure my servings for meat and veggies. And I found an online site that actually took most of the work out of tracking my calories, made it SOOOOO much easier! www.fatsecret.com. (Team Beachbody now has a great one also, there are a few out there!)

I commited to eating 5 meals a day, eating every 2-3 hours to help speed up my metabolism. 3 main meals, and 2 snack. In the beginning, especially the first 2 weeks, WERE THE HARDEST. 1. Because I had to eat ALOT less then I was used to, and YES I was hungry. and 2. The workouts were hard, and I wasn’t very good at them, especially because i was so overweight and out of shape, mostly I did what I could, and pushed myself, and finished tired and drenched, but overall felt good because I knew I had to.

This was a typical day for me, and by putting EVERYTHING in I was able to see what I was eating, and still have snack, it was all healthy! I also found the ways to still have the things I love. Now when I was losing a majority of my weight, I didn’t CHEAT per say, especially the First 90 days… Because I was looking for EXTREME and quick results, which if you watch my transformation video you will see, it is on this site!  But since reaching my goal, YES, I am allowed to have some, only 1 day a week, and YES NOT OVERDUE it! My Shakeology also really helps me to stay on track with this!

Now After 4 Rounds of ChaLean Extreme, 1 round of Insanity, 1 Round of Chalean Extreme with Insanity, ChaLean Extreme and Insanity and NOW doing  TURBO FIRE and ChaLean Extreme, using Shakeology everyday, My diet has changed all that much, except I have been able to increase my calorie intake.

Calories Now, with added lean Muscle, I can EAT!! But I still watch my intake. If you don’t write it down you won’t know! Muscle burns fat and revs up your metabolism.. So ladies, if you want to eat, get more muscle!! HELLO ChaLean Extreme. And be on an amazing product like Shakeology, I know my body is getting what it needs!
