My History With Weight

Growing up I had a weight problem that followed me until my early 20?s and I met my boyfriend who taught me how to work out in a traditional gym.   I was able to get in great shape using weights and running spending a couple hours at the gym every night. In 2003 I became pregnant with my first child, and was told not to exercise due to the increased pregnancy risks associated with it.  After having to stop the exercise, (and being pregnant), the pounds that were so hard to lose quickly came back. Finally after recovering from a c-section, a friend gave me a Turbo-Jam DVD to try. Being a Stay at Home Mom I didn’t have the time to get back into the gym and really needed to find a new way to workout that fit into my hectic schedule, so I gave it a try.  Immediately I was hooked and the rest is history.  I had tried other weight loss programs but nothing compared to Chalene Johnson who actually motivated me to keep pressing play. I was almost able to get back to the pre baby weight when I found out I was pregnant with baby number 2 Dylan, once again I couldn’t exercise due to risk so the pounds piled on.

In January of 2009, almost 1 year after having my second son I was a whale at 217. When Beachbody came out with ChaLEAN Extreme, it was right up my alley.  I got to utilize the weights from my 20’s and the motivation of Chalene. Fast forward to future and today I am now at my goal of 145lbs, and at 36 I am in the best shape of my life. Yes, even better than when I was going to the gym. I’ve added Shakeology to my daily nutrition 1X a day which has helped me make sure I get my breakfast on my busiest days and is helping me to maintain my goal!!
